The youngest multi-awarded child actor of his generation, Jiro Manio is now apparently homeless. According to the report, he is roaming and begging with foods and clothes at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
According to Ms. Jennifer Dyan Manio Enaje, the actor left their home last Saturday night and they haven't seen again after that. She also says that when Jiro was still with them, they tried to talk to him but the actor was not responding. They thought that Jiro might be suffering severe depression or unhappy.
NAIA terminal 3 security guard, who initially recognized Manio, that he pitied the actor when he saw him wandering around the airport. The employees at NAIA terminal 3 have been giving him food and other basic needs. Manio was taken into custody by airport police after photos of him going around the terminal circulated online.
Now 23 years old, Manio who underwent rehabilitation for drug abuse twice in the last four years, appeared to be disoriented and initially declined interviews. And he was vocal about his intention to return to acting and said he wanted to be reunited with his mentor director Mario delos Reyes.
